1894: Lawrence O'Hare was a reform Democrat. He was born in the 12th ward and went to Public School No 27. He was a caulker at Murphy's Ship Yard in the Erie Vasin before entering politics. He lived with his mother at 88 Dikeman.

1894: Lawrence O'Hara was involved with the Visitation lyceum baseball team

1896: Lawrence O'Hara of 88 Dikeman, street, was running for Assemblyman for the 10th district.

1897: Lawrence O'Hara won a silver spoon at the Visitation Church Building association fund raiser held at the Atheneum Assembly rooms at Atlantic ave and Clintons street in April.

1900: Death of "Margaret" O'Hara: Mrs. Margaret O'Hara who had resided in Red Hook for more that 50 years, died at her residence at 88 Dikeman street in June 1900 after a long illness. She was the mother of nine children including "Lawrence F. O'Hara" who was "well known in "political circles in the Twelfth Ward". She apparently was a home body and had not been to Manhattan in over 40 years. She was one of the oldest and most devout members of Visitation Church. Buried Holy Cross.

1901: Lawrence O'Hare liquors 269 Van Brunt, home, 88 Dikeman street. Not listed 1902.

1900: Lawrence "O'Hare" had a saloon on the ground floor of 269 Van Brunt when two men were arrested for coming out of the building at 2 o'clock in the morning in an intoxicated state. The arresting officer went to O'Hare's house at 88 Dikeman street and roused him. The returned to 269 Van Brunt and found a lead pipe valued at $150 "secreted" in the cellar.

1900: 12th Ward, 88 Dikeman street, Mary A O Hara 72 Ireland, immigrated 1849, daughter Elizabeth O Hara 39 New York, son John O Hara 36 New York, iron worker, daughter Sarah O Hara 35 New York, son Lawrence O Hara 33 New York, saloon keeper, three families in building.

1902: Lawrence O'Hara was on the reception committee of the the Holy Name Society "progressive euchre* and reception" Visitation Church.

*A card game.
