Michael Collimore was born in count Wexford Ireland circa 1834. He had one son James (mother unknown) circa 1867. Michael was a liguor dealer in Red Hook from at least 1866. Circa 1878 Michael married Julia Murphy born Ireland circa 1851. The had several children the first, John was born in 1878. The youngest, Leonetta was born in 1879. Michael Collimore died in 1889. Julia ran the business for several years. She died in 1915.

1867 Michael Collimore, liquor dealer, was stabbed with a pocket knife at his liquor store at the corner of Warren and Hoyt after a confrontation with a drunken customer. The wounds were in the thigh and the abdomen. Collimore was listed as unmarried. He condition was critical.

In 1869 there was a property transfer southwesterly corner of Hoyt and Warren lot and building 25x100 $15,000 Gerald M Stevens to Michael Collimore.

COLLIMORE On Tuesday April 23 396 Warren st, t, Brooklyn, MICHAEL COLLIMORE, a native of County Wexford, Ireland. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from his late residence to St. Pauls Church, Court and Congress sts, at 9:30 o'clock, Friday thence to Holy Cross Cemetery, Flatbush.

Born in Wexford Ireland, age 55 he had been in Brooklyn for 30 years - well known figure in Irish church and society circles.

Probate: Julia Collimore petitioner Michael Collimore died 23 April, 1889 had a will - Julia Collimore address 396 Warren - widow - children: James J Collimore of NYC, John Edward who lived with his mother, Mary Loretta a daughter who resided with her mother, John and Mary Loretta minors, there is a notation that Michael Collimore made "his mark or cross" - Julia Collimore signed her name

1896 Julia Collimore, executrix for the estate of Michael Collimore, brought suit against the city of Brooklyn to recover water damage to 396 Warren street.

COLLIMORE On September 6, 1915, at her residence, 194 Hoyt st, JULIA, widow of Michael Collimore, and mother of John E. and Loretto J. Collimore. Funeral will take place on Thursday, September 9, at 9 a.m.; thence to the Church of St. Paul, Court and Congress sts, where a solemn requiem mass will be offered for the repose of her soul. Interment Holy Cross

In 1905 John Collimore was living on 4th ave and was married to Agnes. They had two children Elizabeth 2 and John E 1. He was a clerk in a brewery
