    MANNING - MULLADY. Among the weddings of the week was that of Michael P. Manning and Hester Beatrice Mullady, celebrated in the Church of the Visitation, Verona and Richard streets, on Wednesday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. William J. White, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Thomas Quinn. Miss Francos Mullady a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and John J. Shanahan, a cousin of the bridegroom, best man. Mrs. Mary L. Crowley, a friend of the young couple, played the wedding march from "Lohengrin". The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Peter Flanagan, wore a gown of white chiffon cloth and duchess lace, made en princesse and a white Neapolitan hat with white plumes. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaid was gowned in pink marquisette with, a pink hat covered with pink flowers, and carried Killsmey roses. After the ceremony, a supper was served at the bride's home, 82 Wolcott street, where the young couple will live after their honeymoon. Many costly presents were received from relatives and friends.

1871: An officer was assaulted in Red Hook by a "rough fellow who goes by the name of Frank Malady, who resides at 82 Wolcott street". The office had arrested a drunk who Malady tried to rescue.
