On the 1886 map 265 Van Brunt is a large brick building one in from the north east corner of Tremont.

Granted a license May 1867 - "Calaghan, E." Van Brunt nr Tremont.

Granted a licence July 1870 "Calaghan, E," Van Brunt and Tremont.

The 1886 map shows 265 Van Brunt as a brick structure one house in from the north east corner of Tremont on Van Brunt. In 1874 there was a drug store at the corner of Van Brunt and Tremont - G. H. Sporleder owner.

1867 liquor license granted Calaghan, E. Van Brunt nr Tremont.

1870 Census: Callaghan, Eugene, 39, ret liquor dealer, $4,000 Ireland, Mary 39 Scotland.

Death Eugene Callaghan: 265 Van Brunt Street 29 July 1871. Widow Mary Callagher swore that he had no children or decedents of children, or father, but was survived by his mother, "Mrs." Callagher and one brother and three sister: Catherine Rimmer, Norah Carey and Elizabeth Curran (Corcuran?) all residing in the city of New York, David Callaghan residing in Peoria Ill., all of full age
