1885: "Jacob" Mooney of 228 Van Brunt was fined for selling impure milk.

1887: The grocery store of "Thomas" Mooney at 228 Van Brunt was robbed of $15, two silver watches and two revolvers.

1889: Forty eight cans of condensed milk were stolen from the grocery store of James W. Mooney at 228 Van Brunt. Five of the cans were found in a vacant lot on Imlay near Commerce.

1892: A thief entered the hall bedroom of James Mooney at 228 Van Brunt and stole a watch, chain and locket valued at $80.
