In January 2009 Barry James wrote:

You have Nathan Sheard listed as first appearing in the 1851 Census with a question mark about where born. He was in fact born in 1804 and baptised in Headingly-cum-Burley where he was born the son of Mark Sheard and Hannah Senior, the family moved to Lepton following Mark's early death, Nathan and his brother eventually moved with their families to Batley and both appear in the 1851 Census. I am the great-great-great grandson of Nathan.
Barry adds that "another brother, Joseph, died in Butrley-cum-Headingly in 1802 as an infant". Mark Sheard died in 1838.
