Morley ED1 was described as "

"All that part of the township of Morley which lies on the west of the Wakefield Bradford road comprising part of Bruntcliffe, Scholcroft, Howley, Howley Park, bounded on the west by the township of Batley, on the south by the township of Soothill, and on the north by the township of Gildersome, and extending from the boundary below Bruntcliff bar to the point at Schol's house Stumpcross and from the Wakefield and Bradford road to Howley beck."
