Meta was confirmed on Palm Sunday 1901 at St Matthaus German Lutheran Church in Hoboken, New Jersey (St. Matthew).
According to information obtained at the Hoboken Public Library, this church was founded in 1858 by the Rev. V. M. Wossifle, a native of Prussia. According to information obtained at the Jersey City Library, the founder was Rev. C. M. Wossidlo.
The present church was built on the corner of Hudson and 8th Streets in 1877.
The Rev. Eirich was pastor until 1890. Other pastors who served in this church were; the Rev. Alexander Richter and the Rev. Herman Bruckner.
Meta H. Petermann of Hoboken, New Jersey married Percy Land of Hauppague, New York on January 18, 1908 in Smithtown, New York. Witnesses were Clarence L. Land and Anna Peterman. The minister was E. S. Wright of Central Islip.
Percy was listed as a 22-year-old carpenter, born in Canada, father, Law Land, mother, Elizabeth Sykes, both born in England.
Meta was listed as a 21-year-old, dressmaker, born in Hoboken, New Jersey, father, Bernard Peterman, mother, Sophie Steurer, both born in Germany.
