Birth of Hienrich Christian Blanck

Heinrich Christopher Blanck, the son of linenweaver, Gerhard Blanck and Catherine Brunjes, was born in Lehe, Germany, December 20, and baptized on December 26, 1817, in the Lutheran Church in Lehe.


Marriage

On December 8, 1843, Heinrich Christopher Blanck, mason, son of linenweaver, Gerhard Blanck and Catherine, nee Brunjes, married Dorothea Christian Wenzel, daughter of Johann Christian Wenzel, shoemaker, and Anna Margarethe Bina Sophia Marwede in the Lutheran Church in Lehe.

    Louise Dorothe Caroline, daughter of Hienrich Christopher Blanck, mason, and Dorothe Catherine Wenzel born June 21 and baptized July 21, 1844. Witnesses: Johann Brinkmann, G____ Blanck, J ____ Blanck, ____, and M___ Allers

    Marriage:

    16.11.1873 Lehe, Friedrich Meyer, schiffszimmermann, Leh [bei ⚭ Eidewarden]. (So. Friedrich Meyer und Mette Hinrichs) born Eidewarden 17.1.1838.

    1st wife died 19.7.1873. One child Johann Friedrich Wilhem born 23.2.1862 survived from the first marriage. Child of 2nd marriage - Meta Rebecka Johanna 26.9.1874

  3. Heinrich Bernard (Henry) Blanck ★ (1849-1911) and Melusine Erxmeyer★

    Birth: Heinrich Bernard Blanck born on January 16, 1849 and baptized on April 7, 1849 son of Hienrich Christopher Blanck and Dorothea Wenzel. Witnesses: ___ Duddan, Gottfried Blanck, Emil ____, and _____.

    Heinrich Herman Blanck (AKA Henry) emigrated to Hoboken, New Jersey circa 1870. For more information go to Henry Blanck

    Note: He was listed as "Heinrich "Bernd" an the German Sailors Registry.

  4. Johann Frederich Christopher Blanck, son of Hienrich Christopher Blanck and Dorothea Wenzel born on October 30 and baptized on December 26, 1851. Witnesses: Friedrich Blanck, Johann Aller, Johanna Konig and Tina Wenzel.

    Death: Johann Friedrich Christopher Blanck, son of Heinrich Christopher Blanck and Dorothea Wenzel died on February 5, 1852 and was buried on February 10, 1852, "Krampfe"

  5. Herman Heinrich 28.2.1853. Die Einwohner des Fleckens Lehe 1827-1875 Listed as a child of Heinrich Christoper Blanck and Dorothea Wenzel.

    Herman Heinrich "Blanck" was the only other Blank/Blanck born in Lehe who was listed on the Greman Sailors Registry. His year of birth was given as as 1853. He made four crossings:

    1. 1868, October 9, tunge, on the New York to New Orleans
    2. 1869 January 25 tunge on the Baltimore to Baltimore
    3. 1869 June 8 on the New York to New York
    4. 1870 Nov 11 tunge on the America to New York

    Heinrich Blanck born Lehe 1849 also enlisted on the ship New York for New York on October 9, 1869. He was also still on tour on the New York for New York when Hermann enlisted on the New York for New York in June 1869.

    Note: The records for Lehe available through LDS only go 1852 and the Die Einwohner des Flecken Lehe: only goes to 1875. I do not know what happened to the siblings of Henry Blanck.
