These two photos were taken the same day, Mary and Alice are wearing the same outfits in both pictures. Both photos had fingerprints all over them. I tried to restore them without over-restoring.

In September 2008 Pierre Claveloux Davis wrtoe:

"The best I can do is tell you that the lady who is 3rd from the left in the photo, wearing the darkest one piece swimsuit is my mother, Adele Claveloux Davis. I can only guess from her apparent age that she was probably already married to my father, Joseph A. Davis at the time (but can't be certain because she didn't look much older when she died many years later at 62!). The other unidentified woman might be her sister, Antoinette Claveloux, or possibly even Alix, her older sister, but Alix is a stretch on my part. Although I never saw 'Toinette as a young woman, this does look like her. Her married name was Gubler, and was married to Arthur Gubler, the brother of Alix's husband, Albert Gubler. I know that guesses aren't much help, but she does look like 'Tionette, as she was called for short.) The girls were, ranging downward from the oldest to the youngest, were : Marie-Louise; Alix; Tionette, and Adele. I believe George was after Marie and Alix, but am not positive. I have no idea where Pierre fit into the age range. The 1910 US Census shows the order as Marie, Alix, George. The others weren't born yet. I know my mom was the youngest and the last child, and I recall her saying on several occasions that there were a total of 9 children born, but the others died in childbirth or infancy which was commonplace in that era. I never knew any of those names, and I don't think Mom ever mentioned any names."
